Vijayawada: After meeting Jana Sena Party president K Pawan Kalyan, two prominent emissaries from the NDA on Monday held seat sharing talks with TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu at the latter’s Undavalli residence near here.
Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and industrialist and BJP national vice-president Baijayant Panda called on Naidu and discussed the seats to be shared between BJP and JSP as part of their understanding. Sources said the TDP has allotted 10 Lok Sabha and 30 Assembly seats to both BJP and JSP to share among themselves after across-the-table discussions. It is rumoured that JSP may sacrifice one among three Lok Sabha seats given to it so as to enable BJP to put up candidates from six parliamentary constituencies. As prior announcement, TDP allotted 24 Assembly segments to JSP leaving six to BJP unless the former forgoes one or two seats from its quota.
